Gunfleet Boating Club

August newsletter

Hello to all, hope that you are having a nice time in the water or on dry land (the bar). Like that is possible thanks to the British summer.

The club has had a work party in the compound which a few people gave a helping hand to clear it. So now we have two heaps of rubbish one is green the other heap has got all sorts of things in. So thanks are in order to the members who helped clear the compound up.

The corner of the outside brick work is finally bricked up thanks to Mark Barrow.

Also the club has a water softener fitted in the club to give the club soft water. This was donated by Agent Bailey (ex-commodore) and fitted by Steve Buer and Russell Fisher. In the gents now there is a hand dryer which also was fitted by Steve Buer and Russell Fisher.

The club has had the pool match against the white heart. There was no surprise that we lost the game of pool, but the man point is that we had a laugh and I won my game.

There was a sad day at the bar on the Sunday 19th. The barperson has left the club after 3 years of loyal service. So who will Russ take the Mick out of now!! (Christian Vaughan)

The gold Range Rover has died so it is out of action at this time.

So come on down, if you have not yet. It has been lovely in the sea some of the time, and hopefully the weather will just get better.
