Gunfleet Boating Club Newsletter-

June 2003

The fish’n chip/ Quiz night planned for 14th June was cancelled due to lack of support. However, a Scampi/ chips and Quiz night has been planned for 19th July. Please support this event put on by your club. Tickets will be on sale shortly. Due to the lack of support for the last 2 social events we are a bit concerned that we are not giving you what you want from your club. Could you please take a minute to complete the attached questionnaire and return it to me at the club? Thanks

Thanks to Steve B , Chris and Stuart for their efforts in repairing the water main and for filling the potholes in on Manor Way .

Could all members now accessing the club via manor way due to the newly installed speed humps/Mountains, please drive slowly and courteously to avoid upsetting our neighbours.

Once again, could all members please ensure that the launch vehicles are washed down after use and if they sustain any damage or mechanical problems, please inform a member of the committee as soon as possible so any defect can be rectified with the minimal of delay? In excess of £200 has now been spent to rectify recent damage. Also, if you have a bit of petrol left in your cans at the end of the day, don’t let it go stale, top one of the 4x4’s up. All 3 launch vehicles are now in operation.

On a much lighter note, summer is here, its warm and the sea is a little less rough than it was in December……… See you on the water (Should be spot on this week-end). I’ll be on a jet ski with a sail and oars.

Plans for the open day on 24th August are going well and all should have a good day.
