Gunfleet Boating Club Newsletter-

July 2003

I’m sure you are thinking that you’ve only just received Junes news letter, but I could sense you’re anticipation, and the vision of you all sitting at your front doors… waiting for July’s news letter to drop on to the mat was more than I could bear. So here it is.

Thanks to the members who have returned their questionnaires. If you have not already done so, please return at your earliest convenience. It is the committee’s intention to continue to make the club a venue for good conversation and to further promote it’s sporting activities so please return your questionnaire in order to facilitate this.

A Scampi/ chips and Quiz night has been planned for 19th July at 7.30pm . Please support this event put on by your club. Tickets are available from either the bar, Trevor , Julie Wells , Russell or myself. If you can’t get to the club call me on 07970 115197 and I will deliver them to your (with-in a reasonable distant)

Clacton Sailing Club has invited us to its Regatta on Sunday 20th July. An invitation has also been extended to their pre- Regatta BBQ on 19th July 2003 at 19:30hrs. Places at the BBQ are to be booked by 14th July.

The AGM for the club will take place at the club on 7th September 2003 at 10:00hrs and all are invited. Formal notification of this will be sent out shortly.

Clacton sailing club are going out to Gunfleet sands on Tuesday 15th July and have invited us all. The weather forecast is good and low water (0.22 meters) is at 19:43hrs. Meet at the sailing club for 17:00hrs and depart at 18:00hrs for the sands. Our club is then having a BBQ and all are invited.
