Gunfleet Boating Club News Letter-

September 2004

Greeting chaps and chapesses of the nautical persuasion. Welcome back to all our existing members and hello to the new.

Firstly i have to inform you that we have been having a little trouble with the Post Office recently with regard to their inability to post letters through a letterbox. Quite a simple  concept when you think about it really, but there you have it. Mr Buer has been to pay them a visit and has been informed, after a clam and quite discussion involving no bad language, that all has now been sort3ed and hopefully any missing mail, including membership renewals will turn up. Please bear with us on this.

A fish and chip night has been planned for 2nd October followed by a quiz. On the menu will be Cod or Skate at 34 per person and sausage and chips for the little angels at £1 per head. This will be a ticket only do and the tickets will be available from the club shortly. also, the date for fireworks night has been set or the 6th of November. As usual, there will be no cost to members and their immediate family for the display but it had been agreed that friends and other family members will be able to attend at a cost of £10 per family. These tickets will also be available from the club shortly. If you are an old member, come along and catch up with old friends. If you a re a new member, come along and make some new fiends. Either way, come along and support YOUR club.

The open day was a success and thanks must be extended to Kath for all her efforts to make the day the success it was. Thanks to all others involved,

The AGM date has been set for 31st of October and notices will be sent out shortly.

Members are politely reminded that whilst it is not the committees intention to solicit such rules to the members that this encroaches ’s on their enjoyment, it i snot the committees intention to clear up after or monitor to excess your children's safety. In brief, you are responsible for you children's behavior whilst at the club. f
