About Us
The club is run by a committee which is built up from the members. The committee is renewed once a year at the AGM, and the people who sit on the committee is elected by the members, any nominations for positions are made in the weeks before the AGM with final decisions and acceptances being made by the members at the AGM.
Opening Times
Bar - open Friday evenings and from 12 o'clock on Saturdays and Sundays.
Clubhouse - the clubhouse is open when the bar is but the club house itself may be open at other times due to some members having keys to do so. The club house being shut does not stop you from being able to use the launching facilities and launching vehicles. After being a member for 2 years you can apply for a key to the communal areas of the club house on putting down a deposit and the final decision of the committee. If it is good weather the clubhouse will usually have been opened by a member much earlier.
Facilities
As a family club we offer a number of facilities, such as being right on the beach front allows direct and easy access to the sea and the beach in a few simple steps. Below the club house on the promenade is an area where the boats and trailers can be parked to allow them to be launched easily and quickly and also for when members wish to come back in from the sea they do not have to go far for their trailer, just literally up the launch ramp.

At the front of the clubhouse is a large veranda over looking the coast with simple access out of the club. Just look at these pictures and you can see how nice the weather and sea are just the right place to carry out water sports.

In the picture to the right you can see the view looking down from the veranda on to the promenade.
In these picture you can see just how little you have to walk to get to your boats etc. and to get to the sea.

NEWS (June 06)- the club's eight man banana has been pumped up and is in the clubhouse for any member to use. Please just put it away when you have used it, so others can use it another time.

In the picture to the right you can see the launch vehicle of the clubs that was being used at the time, which is the red jeep.
The club does have a launch vehicles (two automatic range rovers) which members have full access to at any time to launch them self's, though members will be happy to help especially if you are new and will be happy to show you the basics of launching at the club. Please remember that the club is not a business but a members club and that the launch vehicles do not refuel themselves. PLEASE JUST PUT YOUR LEFT OVER PETROL AT THE END OF THE DAY IN THE RANGE ROVER. Otherwise it could be left empty for the next person to use.

Above is a picture of the clubs ramp, this has since been repaired at the top, and at very low tides there is a beach at the bottom of the ramp. It is a very good place to launch from due to it being on an angle to the sea.
We have a fully licensed bar with a barman, that is mainly open at the weekends for the members privilege. The bar is also open when there are social events within the club. The beer is on pumps from a cooled cellar, which makes summer perfect when you stand on the veranda over looking the coast with cool drinks flowing from a fully licensed bar.

Above is a picture of the view to the west of the club (in the direction of Clacton Pier), in this picture the club is situated to the right, you can see part of the wall on the far right side of the picture. This picture was taken from the prom in front of the club house, and this is where the trailers are kept when launching.
The main room of the clubhouse is also used a function room for the social events that the club holds and can be used by the members for other events or parties once agreed by the committee.
In the summer when the seasons the busiest and there are large numbers of members at the club barbecues are held out on the balcony allowing members access to freshly cooked food. All food is cooked by volunteers, and members have access to a kitchen of a catering standard to prepare their own food.

Within the clubhouse are both ladies and gentlemen's changing rooms both with showers that are free for the full members to use once they have been in the water to wash down.
There is also a water supply for members to wash their boats etc. on the prom once they have come in.
Please look at the Membership Page to see what type of membership entitles you to what facilities.
